Val and Franklin finally made it up those flights of stairs to Uncle Ben and things aren't looking good.
"Can't believe I'm listening to your stupid loser plan. You loser--" Val says as they reach Ben's side.
"Shut up Val," Franklin replies getting down on the ground to help.
"Kids...?" he rumbles barely there.
"Uncle Ben. Don't talk. You're real hurt."
"Sssss..." Ben tries to speak but finds he can't so he swallows. "S'okay, kiddo. S'been comin' a long time. Don' be sad." He remebers holding Franklin for the first time and a tear falls from his eye. "I deserve it after...after ev'thing. I d'serve it all. Tell yer folks...tell everyone I'm sorry..."
"Franklin, hurry up--he's fading--" Val says as she sees Ben's vitals dropping from her diagnostic device.
"Val. I got it. Uncle Ben," Franklin says to get Ben's attention. "Gonna tell you something, okay? 'Member how I told mom and dad that I wouldn't use my powers? That I knew how powerful they made me and how dangerous that was until I got older, so I wouldn't ever, never use them?
